COME TOGETHER
AT STATION COFFEE CO.

At Station, we want to make you feel like you’re a part of our weird, little family the first time you walk through our door. Since we opened in 2013, we’ve served our community delicious, ethically sourced coffee and made all our food from scratch. In everything we do, we hope to encourage connection with our neighbours.

OUR STORY

Back in 2007, we met around the Knodel kitchen table to talk about opening a coffee shop in Medicine Hat. From the beginning, building community was our first priority. We wanted to create a space where everyone felt welcome, and we wanted to extend that hospitality through healthy and sustainable business practices.

It took five years before our ideal location opened up – a 100 year-old building in the heart of the city’s historic downtown. When Jake walked in and heard the hardwood floors creak under layers of carpet, he knew he’d found the space we’d been looking for. Once the lease was signed, he and Blair began renovations. It took months of hard work and the support of many helping hands, but on October 25, 2013, our doors were open.

Since that day, we’ve watched our Station family grow, from the bakers and baristas who’ve joined our ranks to the friends we’ve made while handing off cappuccinos and serving tables. Whether we’re connecting with coffee roasters, imagining new scone recipes, or opening the door to let the early birds in, we always have our cafe community in mind.

We are so grateful for all the coffee and culture lovers who visit us every day. We hope to continue to be your home away from home. It’s why we’re here.

Thanks for coming.

– Jake, Amanda, Blair, and Carol
